Norden 901 – Did I Make The Right Choice?
It’s been a while since I have my Husqvarna Norden 901.
The journey from my previous motorcycle, KTM 390 Adventure!

And ohh boy it as been wonders!
Getting used to it was normal process, having little confidence
on the on foot maneuvers in the beginning.
Afraid of dropping it here and there..
Until I had a few weeks on the road with full luggage and
suddenly, everything started to feel natural.
There were a few tumbles here and there…
Specially because I was getting used to the sensibility
to the front double brake disks, which my 390adv only had one.
And for me to understand that I only, take advantage
setting the seat to the higher position when going for longer trips.
The comfort on the motorcycle is really great!
I think it’s the best feature on the bike, the seat is comfortable
the riding position feels great, you really feel you’re in the bike.
The expedition windshield was really spot on
and it’s the only upgrade I got on the go, since I picked the
motorcycle from Jomotos!
Gives a really good protection!
I don’t feel any buffeting or have my head swinging around!
I’m enjoying the Suspensions as well, they have a good performance.
The Expedition does have better suspensions, but the original version
is enough for me!
They are very comfortable and do their job pretty good.
The front does have its will to come up!
Which it taught/educated me to behave on the first days 😅
Its been fun to catch the timing on the engines rotation to
deliver the power to lift it more effortlessly,
along with the suspensions pump.
On road I can say it makes me feel complete and ready for any adventure!
The fuel consumption is mind blowing.
I haven’t really made a trip only focused on saving gas. But.. I can say
that even on a rush day, It didn’t go much higher than 4.6L / 4.7L!
Off road has only been some easy routes. I don’t intend to push myself
to much, at least yet! The bike is not prepared with crash bars or anything..
I will say that the Norden does invite a lot for a little challenge once in a while.
Builds you great confidence, and doesn’t intimidate you at all. All though..
It can lead you to a funny fall when you are feeling too confident too 😂
Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR.
The tires the Husky brings are great too!

I didn’t really had an opinion on tires in general.
Since I have encountered a lot of rain on and off road.
Even hail rain from out nowhere, when it was marking 28ºC ten minuets before.
Dropping the thermometer really fast to 21º with heavy rain
and coming down to 17º when hail started hitting our helmets.
I grew confidence on them along the days, driving in different conditions.
Never a scary moment or a loss of traction. Off road they behaved very good as well.
The cold start issue really is the only bummer..
When you really need to get going, as soon as you put for jacket, helmet and Gloves
and it still wasn’t enough to get the motorcycle on a good temperature.
The motorcycle really sounds unhappy, Specially if have a little challenge
like a ramp to up from a parking lot. Or the first road you have is an uphill.
If you have plain ground or a downhill for the first moments you’re riding
it should be fine to bring the thermometer to “Ok” Status.
Husqvarna said they were working on this issue.
When you cold start your Norden 901, Its engine is only using one Cylinder.
Hope it gets fixed soon. Really been the only issue I ran through.
For sure not a deal breaker!
