We waited for this bike for a long time. Anxiously.
And just as it finally arrived… Portugal decided to throw storm after storm at us… some of them among the worst on record. So no, this hasn’t been the smooth, sunlit first ride we imagined.
But that’s probably fitting for a bike like this.
The Rieju 307 Rally isn’t a showroom queen. It’s a machine meant to be ridden, tested, and pushed beyond perfect conditions. And despite the weather, we’ve managed to put meaningful kilometers on it and gather our first real impressions of the Rieju 307 Rally.
We’re still just shy of the 500 km mark, which means we’ve been riding it under 5,000 rpm for now. So this first ride review isn’t the full story yet. There’s more performance to unlock, more character to discover, and a lot more riding ahead.
But even within those limits, the 307 Rally has already shown signs of being something special!
Rieju 307 Rally First Ride Impressions
In our first ride video, we cover:
Why we pre-ordered this bike before ever seeing one in person
Initial impressions of the engine and low-end torque
Suspension performance at 105 kg — completely stock
The 300 mm front brake and how it compares to bikes costing twice as much
The ABS limitation and EU regulation frustrations
TFT dashboard usability
Why we chose not to go for the R version
And whether this €5,000 package really makes sense
This isn’t a press launch review.
It’s an honest first impression from real riding, in real conditions!
We’ve been saying for years that the industry should give us a proper lightweight rally machine at a fair price. The question now is simple:
Did Rieju finally build it?
We hope the weather gives us a break soon so we can finish the run-in period and really start exploring what this little rally machine is capable of.
Until then, here’s what we’ve managed to put together for you. We hope you enjoy it, and stay tuned for more, because we plan on riding this exciting little rally bike a hell of a lot more!!

Neat bike, I’m gonna get one when the wannabe’s trend finishes…
